The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria finally reopened this weekend after three years of renovation work. The changes include additional space for special exhibitions, new computer stations and touch screens for interactive activities and badly needed improvements to the first-floor lobby and snack bar area.
But there were surprisingly few additions to the core exhibits themselves, like the collection of early film projectors in the photo above. The museum houses an entertaining array of vintage equipment, like movie and television cameras, TV sets and video-game consoles. But I’d have appreciated the addition of, say, film clips shot on the movie cameras they had on display so that the average layperson could gain a better appreciation for how the technology of filmmaking has improved over the decades.
Little details like that are what separate an otherwise excellent museum like this from the Smithsonians of the world.
I finally found where I last left off at. Thanks to Justin, my bf. We’ve fall madly in love with each other and I love it! The type of guy I can see myself with, wealth, smart, beautiful blue eyes I can look into and make me struggle to say anything sweet to him.
I spent the whole weekend with him over at his place and I got to say it was the best weekend ive enjoy this year. I felt like we’re official couples that been together forever!
And now hes 3 hours away, and see him once every 2 weeks :(. i cant sleep now bc i got so use to sleeping right next to me and holding me tight to make sure i wont go anywhere. i love you justin<3 cant wait to be with you again:)
